The Madison-Mayodan Recreation Department has the Dan River Boat Race every year when possible. The event attracts 100's of people and offers a variety of race divisions with kayak, canoe, and paddle boarding. The photo at the top of the page is from a previous race event. This is usually held in August or September. Watch for a scheduled date.
